Founded in 2012

Civil Society for Livelihood Transformation (CISOLT) was established in Machinga district with a clear mission: to advocate, empower, and improve the socio-economic status of marginalized people.

Located 37 KM from Liwonde Township, we have spent over a decade working directly with duty bearers and grassroots communities to ensure that social rights are protected for everyone.

Our Vision

To build a society where its members individually or collectively are free to express themselves and claim their developmental rights from service providers without hindrance.

Our Mission

To play a leading role in creating an environment that narrows the existence gap between societies and duty bearers, supporting a vibrant and participatory society.

To facilitate social and behavior change that supports positive and sustainable changes in attitudes and practices leading to improved livelihoods.
